About The Game
Every year, McDonalds have hosted a Monopoly style game. Anyone can get tokens by buying food/drink from the restaurant such as large drinks and meals etc, and on the packaging will be a game token (or 2, or 3). On each of these tokens is either a Monopoly property, an instant win, or a "try again next time!" message. The Monopoly property's are used for sticking on the game board, and if you get all three of the set you win a pretty nice prize. The instant win prizes are free food and drink such as a free Big Mac or cheeseburger. There are also money off vouchers for HMV available. And of course, there is a "try again next time" message on 3 in 4 of them. If your one of those lucky 1 in 4 people who got anything but a loser message; congratulations!
Stuff You Should Know/Rules
- You have to be 18+ to claim a major prize, but they allow you (if your underage) to get your parent/guardian to claim for it.
- The trading if tokens is forbidden, however did you know that in 1995, a children's hospital Tenneesee received an anonymous letter postmarked Dallas, Texas, containing a $1 million winning game piece. Even thought it is not allowed, McDonalds waived the rule in this case, and handed the money out.
- McDonalds gives away millions of pounds in prizes every year!
